Born on campus, built for students.
The Campus Care Initiative grew out of a simple act repeated quietly for years: a student helping other students who had run out of food before the month was over. What started as personal generosity has become an organised, accountable initiative.
Today, CCI is a registered Non-Profit Organisation working alongside universities, donors and partners to provide monthly grocery hampers to those who need them most — beginning in Gauteng, and growing across South Africa.

Dignity
Support is given with respect, never pity. Recipients are students with potential, not cases to be managed.
Transparency
Monthly impact records are kept and shared with partners and donors. Every hamper is accounted for.
Fairness
A simple, consistent process identifies the highest need each month — open to everyone who qualifies.
Partnership
We work with universities, corporates, NGOs and donors — impact grows when we build it together.

Lethabo began supporting students financially during her own university years, working alongside Chairperson Pheladi Mnguni. Together they shaped CCI into the organised initiative it is today.

CCI is a Non-Profit Organisation registered under the Nonprofit Organisations Act, 1997 (Act No. 71 of 1997). We operate without the intention of making a profit — all funds go toward our objectives.
