From need to nourishment.
How the Campus Care Initiative works each month — the process, the hamper, who we support, and where we are headed.
A fair, transparent monthly cycle.
The same clear process every month — open to all who qualify, accountable to everyone who gives.
Applications open
Each month, students submit required documents and a motivation via email. We work with universities to spread the word.
Selection
A simple, transparent process identifies the student with the highest need that month.
Distribution
Selected students receive well-balanced hampers of essential food and hygiene products, and confirm receipt.
Monitoring
Monthly impact records are maintained and reports shared with stakeholders, partners and donors.
Built around what a student really needs.
Each hamper covers essential food items and hygiene products — the staples that let a student cook proper meals, stay healthy, and keep their focus where it belongs: on their studies.
Essentials, delivered with care.

Students living in residence, carrying real need.
Support is awarded on demonstrated need, with a fair assessment for every applicant.
NSFAS-funded students
Funded students living in university residences whose allowances fall short — leaving them without enough to eat through the month while they study.
Proof of financial needMiddle-class students
Students in residence whose households sit just outside funding thresholds, yet still struggle to cover food. Supported on proof of income and motivation.
